A cyclist has been injured in a suspected hit and run in Longfield.

The collision, between a car and a bike, happened in Main Road at about 8.45am.

A police spokesman confirmed the driver of the vehicle is believed to have left the scene following the crash.

Officers attended along with the ambulance service and the cyclist is reported to have suffered minor injuries.
