A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after coming off his bike near a park.

Police - including serious collision investigators were called to Old Road West in Gravesend just before 1.30pm.

The air ambulance landed in nearby Woodlands Park.

The cyclist was treated at the scene then taken to hospital.

His injuries are thought to be serious but not life-threatening.

A witness who was in an 11 plate BMW did come forward after a police appeal.
