Drivers faced long delays on the A2 after a crash involving several vehicles.

The pile-up happened on the coast-bound carriageway between the A227 for Gravesend, the Tollgate services and Singlewell and Halfpence Lane near Cobham, Shorne and Thong.

Two lanes of four were closed while police and ambulance crews dealt with the incident.

The vehicles involved and debris had been cleared from the road by 4.30pm.
