A “DEPRAVED” middle-aged man had a sexual relationship with a teenage girl and took indecent photographs of her, a court heard.

David Hart also downloaded sickening images of children being abused from the internet.

The 44-year-old electrician, of Springhead Road, Gravesend, was jailed for 15 months after admitting one charge of sexual activity with the victim, two of making indecent images of her and nine of making indecent photographs of other children.

As Hart had served almost four months on remand, he was likely to be released within about three months.

A judge said when passing sentence: “My assessment is there is a wholly misguided view on his part that he is not, and was not, wholly to blame. He is deluding himself.”

Hart was banned from working with children and placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
