CASH point shoulder hoverers could be a thing of the past as privacy zones are introduced on pavements.
The painted yellow boxes will be displayed in front of ATMs across the town.
It is hoped the scheme, which has been implemented at seven cash machines in Gravesend town centre, will stop bank details being obtained by peering over a customer’s shoulder by acting as a psychological deterrent.
The initiative comes from the Partners and Communities Together (PACT) team and will rolled out to other areas by Gravesham council.
It has been funded with money from Gravesham Borough Council and the Urban Thames Gateway Fund as part of the G-Safe Scheme.
