Dozens of firefighters were called to a crop blaze today - the sixth of its kind to break out in Kent during the last week.
Shortly before 12.40pm, six crews were sent to Lower Road in Shorne, Gravesend.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Crews are working to extinguish the flames and prevent any fire spread."
A drone was also launched in the area to help them tackle the blaze.
On Thursday, residents were evacuated from their homes after a huge field fire broke out in Swanley, near Junction 3 of the M25.
The plumes of smoke were so tall they could be seen from Brentwood in Essex.
The fire service recently put out a message on social media, which said: "With warm temperatures set to continue, people can help to prevent grass fires by keeping bonfires to a manageable size, well clear of greenery and property, always supervise the burning and avoid having one when it’s windy."
Shortly after 3.30pm the blaze had been extinguished and crews damped down any hotspots.
The fire had spread to around 20 hectares (50 acres) of cut corn.
No casualties were reported and the cause has not yet been confirmed.
