A driver has been charged with dangerous driving after a police chase on the A2.
Three people were arrested on New Year’s Day after several cars were damaged on the A-road near Gravesend.
At around 2.30pm, a vehicle, which is suspected to be stolen, attempted to make off from officers before being stopped on the London-bound A2 Watling Street, near the junction with Wrotham Road.
Several other vehicles were damaged as the car attempted to pass traffic and the carriageway was closed while the incident was responded to.
Leanne Verrall was driving from Rochester to her job in Bluewater shopping centre at the time and claimed a car smashed the side of her Mercedes A-class.
The 47-year-old retail manager claimed as many as 10 cars were similarly damaged, with some being rendered “undrivable”.
No serious injuries were reported.
Kieron Gallagher has since been charged with handling stolen goods, dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and driving while disqualified.
The 22-year-old, of Pitfield Crescent, Thamesmead, is due to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court today.
Two other men arrested have been released without charge.
