A man died at the wheel of his van yesterday after suffering a heart attack despite the frantic efforts of emergency services.

He is believed to be in his late 50s and was driving in Ash at the time of the incident.

Kent Air Ambulance as well as police, fire and ambulance crews tried to resuscitate the man at the scene for 40 minutes but were unable to save his life.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
