A car found in flames on a driveway put lives at risk this morning.

Kent Fire and Rescue attended the blaze at 6.28am this morning as it began to spread to the window frames of the home in Dunkirk Road, Gravesend.

The house was occupied by residents as the flames started. It was only after a neighbour spotted the fire and notified them of the incident that Kent Fire and Rescue was called.

Thankfully, firefighters managed to extinguish it before further damage was caused.

Two appliances were called out to the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
