A drug dealer that was found in a car with his trousers down has been given a further year imprisonment.
Michael Peters, of Eltham Green Road, Eltham, was pulled over in Gravesend town centre in November.
He provided officers with a false identity and was found with 45 wraps of class A drugs.
Peters later pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, obstructing a constable in executing their duty and driving a vehicle without third party insurance.
The 27-year-old was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday (March 21), having previously been given a sentence of four years and there months in December for unrealted charges of supplying crack coaine and heroin.
The additional year sentence will be served consecutively.
The court was told how on Friday November 9, Peters was pulled over in Windmill Street, Gravesend, after officers received information suggesting his car was involved in supplying drugs.
"There is no place in Gravesend for people of his nature..." - Detective Constable Dan Bister
When they approached the vehicle to speak to him they noticed Peters trousers were 'unusually low' under his waist.
This prompted suspicion he had been hiding something, and a search uncovered a burner phone and £135 in cash.
The offender was taking to the police station where a packing containing 45 wraps of class A drugs, which turned out to be heroin and crack cocaine, was found.
An inspection of his phone also found text messages relating to drug dealing.
During the arrest he gave officers false details and his lying was uncovered three days later, when investigators learned he was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court for an unrelated case belonging to a different police force.
Upon the discovery of this new information, Peters was promptly arrested and has been held on remand since.
Detective Constable Dan Bister, investigating officer for the case, said: "Michael Peters has shown himself to be a deceitful offender who is prepared to sell drugs to people living with drug problems and then lie about his actions.
"There is no place in Gravesend for people of his nature and I am pleased that we have been able to remove him from the streets following a good proactive stop by local officers patrolling their local area."
