Teenagers using electric scooters in a town centre have seen the vehicles seized as part of a clampdown by police.
Four scooters were taken from youngsters aged under 18 in Gravesend between March 11 and March 17.
Meanwhile, five people were arrested during the same period for shoplifting.
Kris Brown, 41, of Willow Walk, Meopham, was later charged with theft.
He was bailed and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on April 4.
Natalie Barham, of Milton Road, Gravesend, was also charged with theft.
The 33-year-old was bailed and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on April 12.
In total, more than £1,200 worth of goods, including food and electronics, were recovered by officers after they were suspected of being stolen during the week-long initiative.
Inspector Kirsty Dunne, of Gravesham’s Community Safety Unit said: "Business crime is not a victimless crime.
"Targeting businesses can not only lead to loss of profit but also affects staff within the premises.
"They can be left feeling worried and intimidated when all they want to do is to serve their community.
"This week of action not only allowed us and partners to make a positive impact in terms of results, but gave us the opportunity to talk to residents and businesses and take forward any concerns raised".
The campaign was carried out by officers from Gravesham’s Community Safety Unit, Gravesham council and crime reduction group G-Safe.
