Ebbsfleet had an afternoon to forget as they were mauled 6-1 at home to Luton Town.
Fleet took an unexpected lead after 24 minutes, before even registering a shot on target. Luton defender Janos Kovacs the unfortunate man turning the ball into his own net past keeper Mark Tyler.
But, despite Fleet going into the break a goal to the good, the visitors turned the game around within five minutes of the restart.
Claude Gnapka got the Hatters back on terms on 49 minutes as he headed home unmarked past Fleet keeper Lance Cronin from a corner kick. Seconds later, veteran striker Kevin Gallen ran onto a ball over the top to fire home into the back of the net.
Luton's dominance then told in the final half an hour with four more goals. Tom Craddock doubled the advantage to make it 3-1 after 66 minutes. He swept home inside the area past Cronin after a smart ball from the left hand side.
Gnapka then completed his second half hat-trick within the space of two minutes. The midfielder made it 4-1 on 76 minutes as he headed in a Jake Howells cross and then a minute later, curled a shot inside the post for 5-1.
Substitute Matthew Barnes-Homer then completed the rout for the visitors in stoppage time to make it 6-1.
