Ebbsfleet chairman Phil Sonsara admits delayed budget is hindering manager Liam Daish's plans

Ebbsfleet future will take a step closer to being resolved when round-the-clock work on the budget for the new season is complete.

The club remain in limbo ahead of their return to Blue Square Bet South level for the first time in five years, with important decisions on how the club will move forward to be resolved.

New chairman Phil Sonsara, who last week replaced Duncan Holt – now taking on the role of vice-chairman – admitted his attempt to have the budget complete by Monday had been unsuccessful.

He said: "I wanted to have it complete by the end of the weekend but despite a lot of work, that has not proved possible.

"We want to put it before members as soon as possible and only then can we start to make progress."

Decisions like whether the club will return to part-time football in the wake of their relegation can only be decided once the budget is accepted.

"It is a difficult decision," added Mr Sonsara. "It looks at the moment as though we are on the part-time road but we will only know for certain once the budget has been completed and presented to members.

Meanwhile, MyFC members have agreed to reduce admission prices at Stonebridge Road after the club’s relegation from the Conference Premier.

Just 550 members – half an average attendance – voted on the website, with 47 per cent opting to reduce prices from £15 to £11 for adults and £8 to £5 for concessions.
