Ebbsfleet are eager for the snow and ice to subside as they look to dig themselves out of trouble at the bottom of Blue Square Bet Premier.
While the Fleet were left kicking their heels last weekend, results elsewhere saw them drop to the foot of the table for the first time this season.
Tuesday’s trip to Cambridge suffered the same fate as Saturday’s scheduled home game against Tamworth, with both fixtures frozen off.
Now seven points from safety and without a win in seven league outings, Ebbsfleet are due to visit Hyde this weekend. But a thaw is needed in Greater Manchester if the north Kent side are to start chipping away at the deficit to the clubs above them.
"It’s a big game for us," said Fleet manager Liam Daish, pictured. "Hopefully the game will be on.
"We need to get off the bottom. That’s where we are, it’s a stark fact but while we’re not playing games, we can’t do anything about it."
Daish has endured another frustrating week in his hunt for new signings but he confirmed midfielder Ram Marwa is nearing a return from a knee injury after just five appearances this term.
