Ebbsfleet United boss Liam Daish was still in positive mood despite watching his side drop more home points against one of their Blue Square Bet South play-off rivals in their first ever meeting at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday.
Fleet have now taken just two out of a possible 12 at home, and came from behind to take the lead against Eastleigh, only to be pegged back early in the second half.
Jamie Slabber put the Hampshire side ahead after 11 minutes, but Calum Willock (pictured) levelled three minutes later with his 12th goal of the season.
Ashley Carew’s confident penalty put Fleet ahead on the stroke of half-time, but they held the advantage for only two minutes after the restart when former Welling midfielder Anthony Riviere fired home.
Fleet were without on-loan defender Ryan Blake as he has been included in the Northern Ireland under-21 squad to face Wales at Wrexham on Wednesday.
His stay at Ebbsfleet ends on Thursday, and Daish is waiting to find out if the Bees, who sacked manager Andy Scott last week, will extend it.
