Tom Phipp's second-half double ensured Ebbsfleet ended the year on a high with a comfortable Boxing Day victory at Stonebridge Road.
The young midfielder (pictured) responded to boss Liam Daish's call for him to score more goals, while Michael West laid the foundations just before the half-time with his first at home for more than two months.
Phipp netted twice in 10 minutes around the hour mark - the first with a cool finish, and the second with an acrobatic effort to convert Nathaniel Pinney's cross to the far post.
Hayes and Yeading were well organised but lacked any real threat up front, although Fleet had a couple of early scares, with goalkeeper Preston Edwards palming a cross clear and Louis Soares shooting just wide from the edge of the area.
Skipper Paul Lorraine's header, and Phipp's shot into the side netting were their best chances, while Yado Mambo fired over the bar from West's free-kick, before the latter put Fleet ahead a minute later.
A cross from the left found Pinney on the right, and his low cross deceived the Hayes defenders and West swooped to score his first in front of the home fans since October.
Lorraine headed over the bar a minute after the restart, but Phipp's brace eased them into a comfortable lead.
Edwards was livid though with his defenders for allowing Tom Collins' 80th minute consolation, the visitors first effort on target in the game.
