Leon Crooks' stoppage time goal capped a battling performance from Ebbsfleet who came from behind three times against Forest Green before taking the points at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.
Crooks headed home Scott Ginty's cross in the 92nd minute to give his side a victory that saw them climb out of the Blue Square Premier relegation zone for the first time since September.
Isaiah Rankin gave Forest Green the lead from the penalty spot after 16 minutes, after he had been brought down by Dean Pooley, but two minutes later Magno Vieira headed Fleet level.
The home side's joy was short-lived when Daniel’s Powell low shot put his side back in front after 22 minutes.
Fleet were unable to hit back again until after the break when a Darius Charles effort came back off the bar and Vieira was on hand to score his second of the game after 54 minutes.
Another low shot from Powell gave Forest Green the lead for a third time after 70 minutes, but a fine solo effort by Stefan Bailey from 25 yards out put the Fleet back on terms eight minutes later.
Just when it looked as though the spoils were going to be shared Crooks struck a dramatic winner.
