Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish sympathises with the plight of Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Darlington and Kettering but says his club still have financial concerns of their own.
Last weekend’s opponents Darlington are in administration and still need to find £200,000 by the end of the season to avoid automatic relegation, while the future of Saturday’s visitors Kettering is also in doubt after losing three points for failing to pay creditors.
Daish (pictured) said: "I do have sympathy for them but I know where we are financially ourselves. We are not in the top bracket, able to bring in different players, and while their situation is well publicised, ours is not.
"It’s been a tough year off the pitch for us. There have been some difficult meetings and plenty of soul searching about how we get through."
Director Jessica McQueen added: "The difference between us, Darlington and Kettering is that we don’t owe any money to the taxman, are not being wound up or in administration.
"We are still struggling with revenue streams. Wrexham brought 140 fans last Tuesday but had that game taken place on a Saturday it would have been 800. You don’t have to be a genius to work out the losses there."
Striker Calum Willock is set to return after an eye infection, while midfielder Ram Marwa has completed a two-match ban.
