Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish is chasing a replacement keeper to cover for suspended Preston Edwards in Blue Square Bet South at home to Basingstoke on Saturday.
The 21-year-old former Millwall youngster (pictured) has written himself into the record books and become a YouTube favourite since his sending-off after only nine seconds in the 3-0 defeat against Farnborough a fortnight ago.
The dismissal was the quickest ever for a keeper and the third fastest of all-time, following David Pratt of Chippenham’s straight red after only three seconds in 2008.
Daish has decided to go for experience to replace Edwards, rather than youth in Academy graduate Joe Hagan.
He said: "I decided to bring someone in due to the enormity of the games we are playing.
"I thought I had someone lined up late last week and that we had got it sorted out but it didn’t happen. I then went to Plan B and hope to resolve it quickly."
Daish watched Basingstoke against Maidenhead on Monday but the game was abandoned early in the second half after the Hampshire club’s keeper Chay Morris was carried off and taken to hospital with a serious neck injury. He had replaced Simon Locke, who was sidelined with a thumb injury.
