Ebbsfleet jumped to third in Blue Square Bet South on Tuesday but take a break from league action on Saturday as they hunt for rewards both on and off the field at Droylsden.
Liam Daish’s side have already brought in valuable revenue from their FA Cup exploits and this weekend they turn their attention to their second round FA Trophy tie.
The winners of Saturday’s match will bank £6,000 and earn a place in the last 16 of a competition Fleet and Daish won in 2008. Any additional revenue will help Daish on the transfer front as he looks to add to recent signings Conor Okus and Ryan Blake.
Daish (pictured) said: "It’s going to be tough going up there. It’s a break from the league and it’s also a competition where we can gain financially and that’s part and parcel of it.
"We’ve already earned some prizemoney this season and we’ll look to win some more. It all helps out."
Blue Square Bet North Droylsden sit just outside the play-off places, while Daish’s side climbed to within a point of leaders Braintree in midweek.
Ram Marwa was suspended for Tuesday but comes back into the reckoning for this weekend.
Derek Duncan is out and Daish will assess the fitness of Scott Ginty after his hamstring injury flared up again last weekend.
