Hayes Lane might not be top of Liam Daish’s list of favourite grounds as the Ebbsfleet boss prepares to return there for the second successive week on Saturday.
Bundled out of the FA Cup last season by this week’s opponents Bromley, fate conspired to send them back to face ground-sharers Cray last weekend.
Bromley are the early Blue Square Bet South leaders and Daish said: "I have experienced bogey teams but never bogey grounds. We have just got to forget about it and hopefully Tuesday’s win (over Cray in the FA Cup) will pull us together and give us confidence going into the game.
"I’m not surprised at all how well Bromley have done. It’s close and with another couple of results we could have been up there as well but wins rather than draws make a difference."
Fleet are now unbeaten in nine league and cup games, since losing 2-0 against Dover last month and Daish added: "I hope we take a good following to get behind the players.
"Crowds make derbies – if there is a big gate it will feel like it because of the atmosphere. If nobody turns up then it will be a normal game."
Fleet will check on Calum Willock’s fitness at training (Thursday), while skipper Paul Lorraine had X-rays on a damaged wrist suffered at Cray which revealed no break.
