Striker Moses Ashikodi is expected to return from World Cup duty for Ebbsfleet United’s trip to Southport in Blue Square Bet Premier on Saturday.
Ashikodi, who has scored two league goals in seven games for Fleet this season, missed Saturday’s 3-1 win over Mansfield while away with Antigua for a double-header against Guatemala but Fleet expect to have him available for the weekend.
Ashikodi came on nine minutes from time in his country’s 3-1 away defeat on Friday and was again on the bench for the return fixture at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Tuesday which his side lost 1-0.
Ram Marwa came through his first game of the season against Mansfield after recovering from a broken kneecap, while another long-term absentee, Giannoulis Fakinos, was included in the squad who beat Maidstone 5-0 in a friendly on Tuesday night.
Fleet boss Liam Daish (pictured) said: "We had planned to arrange games to help Ram’s match fitness but his opportunity came quicker than expected and he suffered no reaction."
Fakinos has not figured since suffering a serious knee injury last October and Daish added: "I fixed up the game to give fringe players a chance of game time, including him."
Ebbsfleet have unveiled Specsavers as their sponsor. The local branch’s name will appear on the back of the club’s shirts.
