Ebbsfleet United have won their battle to have Saturday’s scheduled FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round tie with Bromley put back.

Fleet will take on AFC Wimbledon in an FA Cup 1st Round replay at Stonebridge Road (pictured) on Thursday night, with the game having been delayed from Tuesday night for live TV coverage on ESPN.

Fleet had appealed to their opponents to put the Trophy game back until Sunday but the Blue Square Bet South leaders said they were unable to comply due to player unavailability on Sunday.

Fleet secretary Peter Danzey said: "We made representations to the FA to delay the game for a number of reasons, including the short recovery time for the players and the limited time available for catering outlets to prepare for another game so soon.

"The main reason though was all the television paraphernalia at the ground and the very short window to get it cleared."

He added: "The FA Trophy chairman and vice-chairman said we could put it back to Tuesday and both clubs agreed so we are very pleased."

The game will now take place on Tuesday, November 23, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
