Winger Ricky Shakes has returned from World Cup duty with Guyana reinvigorated.
The 26-year-old, whose father is Guyanese, scored his maiden international goal in a 1-1 draw with Bermuda last week.
Shakes (pictured) made his debut as Guyana beat Barbados 2-0 and they now top their qualifying group ahead of two games against Trinidad & Tobago next month.
He said: "It was a great experience, getting my first international cap in a World Cup qualifier.
"It builds up my confidence, it makes me work hard for the team and for myself.
"It's a good opportunity for Guyana to get through to the World Cup."
Guyana host Trinidad on November 11 before playing the return fixture four days later.
Should Shakes receive another call-up, he would miss the first round of the FA Cup tie if Ebbsfleet are involved.
