A man in his 70s has suffered serious head injuries after he was allegedly attacked.

Police were called at 7.38pm last night to a disturbance in Hall Road, Northfleet, involving a number of people.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of assault, all of whom remain in custody.

The injured man is being treated at a hospital in London.
