An elderly woman has been rescued from a car crash in a residential road.

Two cars collided in Earl Road, Northfleet, this afternoon and fire crews were called to help the woman shortly before 2pm.

Once free she was passed into the care of ambulance crews.

Police were also called to help make the scene safe.
