Emergency work

FIND out more about the work of north Kent’s emergency services this weekend.

On Saturday, September 20, several organisations including Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Gravesend’s lifeboat will be coming together to showcase their work and provide help and advice.

People attending will be able to see Kent Police’s dog team in action, how fingerprinting works and check out the latest technology being used to fight crime.

Adults and children will also be to learn basic first aid and life saving techniques from St John Ambulance and see how firefighters tackle a road traffic collision.

The event is at Springhead Recreation Ground, behind the new North Kent Police Station, in Thames Way, Northfleet, from 12pm until 4pm. Car parking is available at North Kent Police Station.
