A last-minute strike from Michael West earned Ebbsfleet their first win of the season in Blue Square Bet South at Farnborough on Wednesday night.
The hosts – who included ex-Fleet players James Smith and Kezie Ibe in their side – started brightly and Ibe saw his appeals for an early penalty following a challenge from Chris Henry waved-away.
The visitors stunned the home side against the run of play when Ram Marwa put Calum Willock (pictured)through to slot past Michael Jordan and record his second goal in as many games.
Two minutes after the break Scott Ginty was denied a second goal for Fleet by Jordan after springing the offside trap.
However Farnborough went close to a deserved leveller when Smith’s header was blocked on the line by Henry allowing Willock to clear.
Just when it seemed Fleet had weathered the storm of the first hour, a run from Bradley Bubb and shot was met by Dean McDonald to put the hosts on level terms on 66 minutes.
McDonald flashed another chance across goal 12 minutes from time and Ginty went close at the other end seven minutes later after hesitancy from Smith.
With time running out a Fleet corner was cleared to West 25 yards out and he had time to pick his place past Jordan and secure the points for Fleet.
