A man who was found injured after crashing his car, died of multiple organ failure and a stab wound.
Ronnie Smith, 31, was discovered in St Patrick's Gardens, Gravesend, on Saturday, July 21.
Police said last month an altercation was reported to have taken place at an address in Taunton Vale at around 7.45pm.
Mr Smith was found critically wounded at about 8pm. He is thought to have left the property and driven off in a black people-carrier type vehicle.
Witnesses saw the car crash in St Patrick's Gardens, just three minutes away, and called the ambulance service and police.
Officers in forensic suits were seen at the Taunton Vale property on the Saturday night but by Sunday morning, there was no sign of any police presence in the road or surrounding area.
Mr Smith, who was also known as Ronnie Vine, lived in Cranbrook.
He was taken to a London hospital but died the following morning.
Police later arrested 28-year-old Joe Chuter, of Taunton Vale, and charged him with murder.
An inquest into Mr Smith's death was opened and adjourned at Archbishop's Palace, Maidstone.
During the brief hearing, it was revealed a post mortem was carried out on Tuesday, July 24.
The cause of death was given as multiple organ failure and a stab wound to his abdomen.
Chuter did not enter a plea in relation to the allegation when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.
He is expected to do so on September 17.
Judge Adele Williams set a provisional trial date for January 14.
Jason Dunn-Shaw, defending, did not apply for bail. Chuter was therefore remanded in custody.
A full inquest into Mr Smith’s death is due to be held on December 19, at Archbishop's Palace.
