Another crackdown has seen more lorry drivers fined for parking on slip roads and verges.
Kent Police's traffic team tweeted to say 22 HGVs had been issued with tickets at the Cobham services on the London-bound A2.
All 22 were parked on a footpath by the services, near Gravesend, and all fines were paid. The drivers involved were from Britain and Europe.
It follows a similar operation earlier this month which saw 62 fines were issued to lorry drivers in just over a week for parking on the hard shoulder and slip roads.
Between December 30 and January 7, the notices were issued at the A2 and also on the A20 at Capel-le-Ferne, Folkestone.
They were given fixed penalty notices and moved on.
Queues of lorries have regularly been seen from the A2, with drivers stopping up overnight for their breaks.
Supt Ian Hall said: “Parking on the hard shoulder and slip roads for a rest is simply not acceptable – it is unsafe and unlawful and [we] will deal with those who flout the law accordingly.
“We are operating a zero-tolerance approach. The hard shoulders are there for those vehicles that break down and are in need of assistance, and for the use of the emergency services.”
Some lorry drivers, including Mark Lindridge, from Gravesend, hit back saying truckers have to deal with a lack of overnight facilities.
