Fire crews have been called to the scene of a grass fire near playing fields and two schools.
Four fire engines have been sent to a blaze in Westwood, Gravesend.
Crews are using hose reel jets and beaters to extinguish the flames.
Operations began at 2.26pm and have been concluded at 4.29pm.
No casualties were reported.
People living or working nearby were advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to smoke.
