Firefighters were called to a terraced house after its kitchen came alight.

The crew from Thameside Fire Station, dealt with the blaze in Nelson Road, Northfleet, at 7.11 this morning.

They tackled the fire by using a specialised ventilation fan. All occupants had left the property before hand.

The crew left the scene at at 8.30am, it is believed the fire was started accidentally.
