Firefighters tackled a house fire which badly damaged the ground floor of a three-storey home in Taunton Vale, Gravesend.

Crews tackled the fire from 8.40pm yesterday until just after 9.30pm.

When they arrived it was well alight, but everyone was accounted for.

They used breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a ventilation fan to put out the fire and clear away smoke.
