Fire crews tackled a blaze which broke out on an industrial estate.

Six fire engines were sent to the scene of commercial premises near Lower Road in Northfleet.

The incident on Northfleet Industrial Estate was reported shortly after 2.30pm.

Crews used a hose reel jet, covering jets and compressed air foam to extinguish the flames before dampening down remaining hotspots..

As of 6.30pm this evening the incident was declared under control.

Firefighters will continue to monitor the scene this evening.

Previous advice to keep windows and doors closed in the area is no longer in place.
