Gravesend slipped to a 23-17 defeat in their replayed National League 3 London & South East game at Tring on Saturday.
The match had to be replayed after the referee was forced to abandon the previous weekend's fixture in the second half because of bad light with Tring winning 16-13.
But Gravesend were unable to make the most of their second chance, despite leading 10-7 at the break through a converted try by Chris Cutting and a Chris Medding penalty.
They also added a penalty try in the second half, but Tring replied with three penalties and a converted score to secure victory.
