Fleetdown broke the deadlock in the second period of extra-time to beat Oakfield 2-0 in Saturday’s Everden Hospital Cup final.
Oakfield keeper Kelm Strickland saved efforts from Fleetdown’s Karl McMullen and Billy Joel in the first half and 10 minutes from normal time Oakfield’s Scott Matthews went close.
In extra-time, with a penalty shoot-out looming, Oakfield conceded a penalty which Joel converted and McMullen made sure of the win two minutes later when he tapped in a cross from Ashley Graham.
