A former Kent student and Chelsea defender is set to make his England debut tonight.
Former Gravesend Grammar student Fikayo Tomori is tipped to make an appearance against Bulgaria days after the Three Lions 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic.
The 21-year-old was born in Canada to Nigerian parents before moving to Gravesend as a baby.
As a result he is still eligible to play for England, Canada or Nigeria.
It is thought Tomori will replace out-of-form Everton defender Michael Keane.
Tomori has risen through the ranks at London side Chelsea, playing in the youth teams since 2005 until he made his debut in the club's 1-1 draw with Leicester in 2016.
Since then he's enjoyed his time on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City, and most notably his spell at Derby County last season under now manager Frank Lampard, where he was pivotal in their run to the EFL Championship Play-off final.
James Fotheringham, assistant head at Gravesend Grammar, said: "He was a great student and we wish him the best of luck. The school are following his career and wish him the best of luck going forward.
"He was a very clever young man and came out with some excellent GCSEs. He was never in trouble and worked hard. Whenever he needed time off to go and train he would always catch up with his work."
Tomori has represented both England and Canada at youth level.
His call up came after an impressive first part of the season with Chelsea, where he's played in their last four games, bagging a sensational goal against Wolves in the process.
