A RARE showing of a Sikh documentary about Punjabi settlers in Gravesend is being screened next Wednesday as part of Black History Month.
Starting at 7pm, an evening dubbed 'From Punjab to Pier Road' is taking place at The Studio Community Arts Centre, Holy Trinity School, Trinity Road, Gravesend.
'Sikh Street' traces the lives and experiences of people from Punjab who settled in Gravesend almost 50 years ago. Some of those pioneers will share stories of their successes and struggles in settling in Kent.
Entrance is free, but there are limited spaces. Open to all, with priority for Sikh and older people.
