A FURRY friend brought some winter wonder to Gravesend town centre.

Shoppers in New Road had the chance to get up close to Bjorn the polar bear who was accompanied by his handler Ursula.

The animatronic puppet brought a smile to the crowd with his realistic movements, including blinking eyes, sniffing nose and opening mouth.
