Two geese have been killed after they were allegedly used as "target practice" by a group of motorists.
Social media users were left horrified after pictures emerged of the animals, which were mowed down near Ridley Court Farm in Rectory Road, Ridley.
The first was hit at around 5.20pm on Monday evening, with a second injured at 8.30pm and left to die by the side of the road.
Beth Mellish, 22, who lives on the farm with her parents, posted an appeal for witnesses on Facebook earlier today, which has since been shared more than 700 times.
Beth said: "The geese weren’t on the road at the time, and you can see they have driven up the verge to deliberately hit them.
"Our lane is a quiet country lane, the geese are up by the road pretty much every day and never a bother to anyone, cars pass with no problems.
"We have had the geese for 10 years and they have never been hit by a car. They were deliberately driven into."
Hundreds of commenters have also condemned the "cruel" and "evil" act.
The parish of Ridley sits between New Ash Green, and Meopham, just outside Gravesend.
