A chain kebab shop has opened another town centre branch.
German Doner Kebab (GDK) welcomed customers to its new restaurant yesterday in New Road, Gravesend.
The branch has taken up a portion of the old BHS store, which shut in 2016, and has created 40 new jobs in the borough.
GDK's global chief operating officer Daniel Bunce said: "We are delighted to officially open and bring the German Doner Kebab experience to Gravesend.
"Our game-changing kebabs are revolutionising the kebab in the UK and we are excited to be bringing a new fast-casual dining experience to the local area, offering great tasting fresh food in a relaxed and modern setting."
The Gravesend branch is the chain's 127th site across the UK.
It is offering both an eating in experience and takeway services with click and collect or delivery and menu items include their OG kebab, doner wrap, veggie kebab and Doritos doner krunch burger.
There are already branches in Bromley, Canterbury, Dover, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells.
There are also plans to open a restaurant in the former Bonmarche store in Bexleyheath Broadway.
An application for the new fully-glazed shop front with central entrance doors and associated signage was submitted on January 19, and has been approved subject to conditions.
