Golf club again targeted by burglars

A KENT golf club has been the victim of burglars for the second time in less than a month.

Thieves broke in to Mid Kent Golf Club in Wrotham Road, Gravesend, in the early hours of Monday morning and stole a security box containing a large sum of money.

Police arrived at the club after a security alarm was activated. The back gates had been forced. A trolley shed had been broken into and the offenders had tried to access the shop causing around £1,000 of damage in total.

On September 19 the club was hit by thieves who removed the shutters to the door and forced the main entrance door open, again causing around £1,000 of damage. On that occasion stock valued at about £13,000 was stolen.
