Gravesend is basking in sunshine today after weeks of wet and windy weather.
The temperature reached 14.2C at noon making it the warmest day of the year so far, according to BBC Weather.
The Gordon Promenade East was filled with people enjoying the early spring sunshine.
The weather will be a welcome relief for hundreds of homeowners who have faced misery following flooding and strong winds in recent weeks.
Gravesend escaped the worst flooding, but still faced problems – including at the cemetery in Old Road West, when graves started sinking into the ground.
But according to the Met Office, the warm weather isn’t expected to stay long.
Sunny intervals are forecast for tomorrow (Tuesday) and highs of 10C on Wednesday, but rain is predicted returns towards the end of the week.
Heavy showers are expected on Thursday, while light rain is predicted for Friday.
