A Gravesend dance group has been invited to bang the drum for Diwali on Blue Peter.

Four by Four, which runs free bhangra dance and drumming classes in the town, will lead celebrations for the Hindu festival of lights on the BBC One children’s show tonight (Wednesday).

It is the third time the group, which holds sessions for young people at Riverside community centre, in Dickens Road on Friday evenings, has appeared on the programme.

Their performance was recorded in advance of tonight's screening of the programme.
Group member Bill Singh said: “We were proud to represent Gravesham on Blue Peter – it is a great honour."
