The injury jinx that has plagued Gravesend Rugby Club this season struck again on Saturday as they lost 41-15 at Civil Service RA in National League 3 London & South East.

Ian Harman faces several weeks on the sidelines after twisting his knee and Phil Thompson suffered a damaged collar bone.

Harman and Thompson were both injured in the first half, although Thompson managed to play on until half-time before being replaced in the second row by Tom Brennan.

With a strong wind in their favour the hosts built a 17-3 interval lead, with Gs' only score coming from a Sam Hall penalty.

And their failure to make use of the elements, coupled with a greater urgency from the home players to retain possession, again saw Gs on the back foot for most of the second half.

CSRA added four more tries to lead 41-3 before Gs restored some pride through tries by Tony Nolan and Reuben Potaka. Gary Gray added a conversion.
