A Gravesend teenager has wowed judges during her first appearance on the X Factor.
Tamera Foster, 16, initially forgot the opening lines to Whitney Houston's hit "I Have Nothing" and had to go off stage to compose herself.
But after a few encouraging words from her family, including grandma Janet and presenter Dermot O'Leary, the youngster returned to face the huge audience at Wembley and won a place in the next round.
Tamera had been part of duo Silver Rock with Jerrie Dila, 22, but the judges suggested they split and audition as solo artists. Jerrie did not make it through.
Although she continued to stumble, Tamera's performance impressed judges Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.
Gary told Tamera she wasn't perfect but she had “potential beyond belief”.
Sharon said she was "amazing", while Nicole told her she had "a gift and a talent".
Louis Walsh said she could be better than Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke – two of the show’s top stars - if she got her act together. "You're incredible," he added.
