Gravesend remain among the early pacesetters in London 1 South following an emphatic 25-12 win at Wimbledon on Saturday.
Gary Gray opened the scoring for the visitors after a bright start with a penalty and kicked another three points on the half-hour.
The home side had a player in the sin-bin as Gray handed-off to Adam Bishop to cross for the opening try.
Some magical sidesteps from James Harris saw him score close to the posts and Gray’s conversion made it 18-0.
Before the break, Harris and Terry Papworth exchanged passes before Harris added his second try, again converted by Gray.
The home side’s defence improved after the break and it was Wimbledon who crossed twice in the final eight minutes as the visitors became complacent – something they’ll aim to avoid when they take on fellow table-toppers Chichester next at Rectory Field on Saturday.
