Hartley won the Shepherd Neame Kent League Twenty20 competition for the first time, beating Bexley by 67 runs in the final at Beckenham.
A crowd of around 800 enjoyed an excellent day’s cricket in good weather, with Hartley winning the final, after dismissing Bexley for only 88. Charlie Hemphrey grabbed 3-8, and promising teenager Sam Weller claimed five catches added to his six wickets on the day.
Hartley, put into bat, totalled 155, including 23 extras, with James Thompson top-scoring with 34.
Hartley beat Upchurch, in the semi-finals earlier in the day, having only won their rain delayed quarter-final against Lordswood in a bowl-out two days previously.
Skipper Andy Tutt (pictured), one of several ex- Bexley players in the side said: "We wanted to give the competition a real go and always looked to field our strongest side.
"Everything came off for us on in the finals, our fielding and bowling plans worked well. Our fielding was fantastic."
