Liam Daish celebrated his sixth year in charge of Ebbsfleet United with a hard-fought win over Havant and Waterlooville in the Blue Square Bet Conference South on Saturday.
Fleet took an early lead after four minutes when Ashley Carew made space in the area and struck the ball beyond Hawks keeper Aaron Howe.
The Kent side's slender advantage lasted until five minutes before half time when Joe Keehan came charging down the line to put the ball in at the far post.
The visitors restored their lead after 63 minutes - Paul Lorraine nodding the ball home from a Carew corner.
But it was two apiece just five minutes later when former Fleet favourite Giuseppe Sole picked up a diagonal ball and curled the ball past Preston Edwards.
It was Ricky Shakes (pictured) - brought on as a substitute for Dagenham and Redbridge loanee Conor Okus - who sealed the win for Daish's side. The midfielder picked the ball up on the right wing before deftly slotting the ball between Howe's legs for 3-2.
