There were long delays for drivers - including Christmas shoppers queuing to get to Bluewater - after a car overturned on the A2 this afternoon.
Three out of four lanes on the coastbound carriageway were blocked after the crash, which happened at 11.42am.
The road has now re-opened and the cars involved have been moved to the hard shoulder.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 11.42am to a report of a collision on the coastbound carriageway of the A2 near Bean.
"At this stage it is thought two vehicles were involved. South East Coast Ambulance Service is at the scene."
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said one person was treated at the scene for lower back pain and taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
